Job Description

Job Summary:

The Inventory & Warehouse Technician is responsible for executing inventory control activities, including receiving, transferring, storing materials, and maintaining accurate data entry in SAP. This role involves handling and preparing shipments, managing warehouse operations in compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and ensuring operational accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate inventory systems for material receipt, transfer, storage, and cycle counts.
  • Perform real-time inventory transactions in SAP to ensure data accuracy.
  • Receive, inspect, and document raw materials, packaging, and products using material handling equipment.
  • Apply and maintain FEFO (First Expiry–First Out) policies; manage expired/obsolete inventory for disposal.
  • Label, package, and deliver materials to appropriate storage or production areas.
  • Prepare and transfer materials to internal/external sites with complete documentation.
  • Support quality assurance through accurate sample labeling and documentation.
  • Order and manage supplies for packing and labeling.
  • Maintain clean and organized warehouse areas, including cold storage.
  • Participate in ongoing training and support compliance with quality systems.
  • Respond to audits and ensure procedural adherence.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling roles.
  • Knowledge of the metric system.
  • Intermediate proficiency in SAP, WCS, or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Certified or ability to become certified to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with inventory and cycle counting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Willingness to be on-call at least one weekend per month.
  • Familiarity with 5S methodology is a plus.
  • Yellow Belt certification is desirable.

Certification:

  • Forklift certification (required or must be obtained upon hire).
