Job Description:  

PRIMEC Controls LLC is seeking a skilled Repair Shop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in repairing actuators, rod rotators, flow meters, flame arrestors, chemical pumps, pressure regulators, and many other oilfield production parts. Experience is not required but a plus.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Safely work and operate hand tools and power tools.
  • Thoroughly complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs. 
  • Operate equipment, including forklift, sandblaster, parts washer, acetylene torch, etc. 
  • Disassemble repair pieces without damaging parts per the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation Manual. 
  • Document and enter job data into the database, including photograph documentation. 
  • Coordinate with office personnel on repair requirements. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area. 
  • Maintain equipment in the area, as required. 
  • Perform cleaning, blasting, and painting of components. 
  • Return Parts to Proper Bins, Boxes, etc. 
  • Assemble, calibrate, tag, and certify parts per manufacturer’s repair manuals. 
  • May be required to assist in field assignments. 
  • May be required to climb and work at various elevations depending on the job scope. 
  • Operate motor vehicles, as required. 
  • Attending job and safety training, as necessary or required. 
  • Adhere to all Safety and PPE protocols.
  • Use Microsoft teams for job tracking, internal communications, time and attendance.

  • Capability to lift and transport items weighing up to 75 pounds. 
  • Must possess the ability to walk and climb, excluding non-field duty situations. 
  • Clear speech and hearing abilities, or alternative communication skills with or without reasonable accommodations, to facilitate effective communication. 
  • Satisfactory vision or observational skills, with or without reasonable accommodations, enabling the employee to conduct investigations. 
  • Adequate manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodations, to execute routine office tasks. 
  • Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to carry out office responsibilities and travel as needed to off-site locations. 
  • Adequate personal mobility for navigation within the repair shop setting, including the ability to access elevated platforms through stairwells. 
  • Capacity to maintain focus and manage multiple tasks efficiently. 
  • Strong communication skills. 

Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications a plus. 
  • Solid mechanical skills a plus
