Note: The ABC National office is located in Washington, DC. Depending on the candidate’s location and team requirements, this position may be designated as fully remote or hybrid with scheduled in-office days.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Chapter Development Professional serves as a strategic partner and advisor to ABC chapters, advancing the association’s mission and long-range vision by fostering high-performing, sustainable chapters. This role is responsible for guiding and supporting chapter leaders, both volunteers and staff, through consulting, coaching, and resource development. Key areas of focus include chapter governance, strategic planning, volunteer engagement, workforce development, political advocacy, and membership growth.
As a champion of organizational excellence, the Chapter Development Professional ensures alignment between national initiatives and chapter execution. This includes designing and delivering leadership training, supporting board development and compliance with association standards, and facilitating knowledge sharing across the network. The position acts as a trusted advisor and liaison, helping chapters adopt best practices and improve performance to deliver strong member value.
Working cross-functionally with internal teams and in collaboration with chapter leaders, the Chapter Development Professional plays a central role in advancing ABC’s core goals while reinforcing the integrity, effectiveness, and innovation of the chapter model.
