“Marriage in a simple way, is the coming together of two people to share life together”

Shehzana Anwar (Commonly known as Kuki) is a Kenyan Female Archer, the highest ranked African woman archer by World Archery (Number 200 in the world for women). She has been doing archery since 2002 and has represented Kenya in over 10 international competitions, including world games, commonwealth games, world cup, National cups and numerous African archery championships.

Her greatest feat is winning the 11th African Archery Championship in 2016, and qualifying for the Rio Olympics which she attended and was the proud flag bearer for the Kenyan athletic contingent in the Olympic opening ceremony. She is a beginners coach and the only coach trainer candidate in East Africa. Shehzana is a lover of sports and plays whenever she gets the chance. She currently plays Hockey, Soccer and Rounders too. Shehzana hopes to continue and grow her athletic affair with archery, and aims to not only try for the next Olympics InshaAllah, but also to find a way to participate in more international competitions, and grow archery in Kenya so that many others may take up the sport and put Kenya further up on the world map.
