We are looking for a Social Studies & Economics Teacher for an International High School based in Shenzhen This is a full-time position starting in August 2025. About school This bilingual school is a Chinese-Western integrated international bilingual school jointly established by two century-old schools in China and the United States. It covers three sections: international bilingual kindergarten, nine-year bilingual primary and junior middle school, international high school, and special high school. It fully implements bilingual immersion teaching in both Chinese and English. We will build a Sino-Western integrated teaching system that adapts to the dual channels of high school entrance examination and study abroad. Job Responsibilities Teach the school’s Social Studies and Economics subjects to High school students with the provided US curriculum as a guide and frameworkDevelop lesson plans and instructional materials, and provide individualized and small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each studentEvaluate students’ academic and social growth, record appropriate records, and prepare progress reportsCommunicate with parentsCollaborate with school administrators and peer teachersParticipate in curriculum and professional development sessionsAssist and coordinate activities and events inside and outside of the school location Job Requirements Bachelor's degree or above major in education or relevantAt least 2 years of teaching experienceAdditional Requirements: 2 or more years of classroom teaching experience in the US curriculumExperience with English Language Learners preferred Salary and benefitsThe annual salary is 42,000 to 44,000 USD and commensurate with experience and qualificationsHousing allowance: 4,500 RMBAirfare Reimbursement: Airfare to China and return flight covered by the schoolContract Completion BonusHealth and Life InsurancePaid VacationProfessional Development: Ongoing professional development provided, including annual teacher in-service, frequent professional development opportunities, and soft learningCareer advancement opportunities within the education groupHolidays: We observe local national holidays and some US holidays
