About the Company

Our client is the dedicated IT services organization supporting a major global automotive group. They specialize in delivering comprehensive technology and cybersecurity solutions tailored to meet the needs of various business units within the enterprise. Their mission is to provide high-quality, risk-managed IT services to support the group's continued growth and innovation.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Program Manager (Security Coordinator) to lead and mature the organization’s cybersecurity services portfolio. This senior-level role oversees a small security team while interfacing with multiple business units, balancing security requirements, budgets, and project needs.

This is a critical leadership position that blends technical oversight, strategic program management, and strong stakeholder engagement—perfect for a dynamic cybersecurity professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the security function and various business units, gathering requirements, aligning priorities, and managing expectations.
  • Develop and manage the security services roadmap, including threat & vulnerability management, incident response coordination, and application security support.
  • Oversee security projects from planning to execution, including developing RFPs, evaluating vendors, and driving service delivery.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 4-5 security professionals, providing technical guidance, performance management, and career development.
  • Coordinate incident response efforts, managing the war room and engaging the right partners (though not the hands-on incident responder).
  • Support financial planning and budget management for security initiatives, including working with business units to secure funding.
  • Develop and maintain security governance processes, ensuring compliance with corporate security policies and relevant frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Stay current with industry trends and threat landscapes, continuously improving security services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, including leadership roles managing complex security initiatives.
  • Proven experience in security program management and coordinating among diverse stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of security technologies and frameworks (e.g., Rapid7, Splunk, SentinelOne).
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, cloud computing, application development, and secure architecture principles.
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial models for security initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to align technical solutions with business needs.
  • Experience managing vendors and partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent cybersecurity certifications.
  • Experience working in or with multinational companies or complex enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with OT security and container security (e.g., Kubernetes).

Why Join Us?

  • Dynamic, multi-unit environment with exposure to cutting-edge technologies and security challenges.
  • Lead a dedicated security team and shape the cybersecurity roadmap for a large, global automotive group.
  • Competitive compensation package and the opportunity to make a real impact on enterprise-level security operations.
