Perform data entry in the appropriate databases and prepare and assemble documents for appraisers and other customer’s utilization and review. This position will also support other functions needed for the office to meet all statutory and compliance timelines and requirements.   Sales Legal Research. Provide research for sales including verifying that the sales are assigned to the proper parcels. Perform entry for sales research. Perform self-quality control checks on research and entry. Meet the monthly deadline to complete the sales research and entry, working overtime if necessary to complete this requirement. Follow and comply with the annual PVD Revaluation Maintenance Specifications and Compliance Guide.   Data Entry. Prepare the data for entry by interpreting the data and verifying the accuracy of it. Perform the data entry. Perform self-quality control checks on the data entered.   Document Management. Obtain a precise understanding of the document type, including what resources to utilize. Collect the appropriate documents for the document type. Assemble the documents in the correct format.   Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of real estate document management, customer service in a real estate office, appraisal experience, or data management or analysis – OR – One year mass appraisal experience in administrative support in the Sedgwick County Appraiser’s Office. Must successfully pass the following courses within three years of hire date: International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) Course 101 – Fundamentals of Real Property Appraisal, Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Kansas Property Tax Law, Kansas Personal Property Valuation and Assessment, Orion Introduction and Overview of Basic Functionality   Preferred Qualifications: Four years of mass appraisal experience. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Have one or more of the following professional designations: Registered Mass Appraiser (RMA), Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE), Residential Evaluation Specialist (RES), Mass Appraisal Specialist (MAS), or Assessment Administration Specialist (AAS).   Applicants have rights under Federal Employment Laws.
