Position Overview:

We're seeking a dynamic, customer-focused Sales and Client Engagement Specialist to take ownership and be responsible for generating and managing a pipeline of small to mid-sized business accounts. You'll guide potential clients from initial inquiry through product trials to closed sales, ensuring a smooth, professional, and educational buying experience.

You’ll also collaborate directly with the VP of Business Development on targeted outbound campaigns, lead nurturing, and strategic account engagement. This is a full-time role with a base salary plus performance-based commission structure.

Key Responsibilities: Inbound Sales Ownership
  • Serve as the primary contact for all inbound sales leads , converting interest into engagement and trials into sales.
  • Respond to inquiries with urgency and professionalism via email, phone, and chat.
  • Manage trial users and product demos, ensuring high conversion through consultative selling and problem-solving.
  • Build relationships with prospective customers by understanding their pain points and matching them with solutions in our platform.
  • Qualify leads efficiently using discovery calls, CRM data, and predefined ICP (ideal customer profile) criteria.
  • Document all sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM to maintain pipeline visibility and forecast accuracy.
  • Provide feedback on lead quality and marketing campaign performance to help refine messaging and audience targeting.
  • Coordinate handoffs with Customer Success and Implementation teams for a smooth post-sale transition and client onboarding.
  • Maintain high close rates by following up consistently and handling objections with confidence and empathy.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product updates, and competitor offerings to deliver informed, high-impact sales conversations.

Strategic Sales Support & Outbound Alignment
  • Collaborate with the VP of Business Development to refine messaging and execute targeted outbound campaigns.
  • Assist in list building and strategic lead targeting, particularly within pro sports, tactical, youth sports academies, corporate, and wellness verticals.
  • Participate in outreach strategy sessions, feedback loops, and analytics reviews to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Research prospective clients and verticals to uncover key decision-makers, organizational priorities, and competitive dynamics.
  • Support execution of multi-channel campaigns (email, LinkedIn, calls, webinars) by aligning follow-up sequences and messaging cadence.
  • Craft customized outreach messages and sales templates based on industry-specific pain points and performance outcomes.
  • Coordinate and support trade show follow-ups, webinar registrants, and outbound event-based lead generation efforts.
  • Maintain clean and segmented CRM records to ensure targeted outbound messaging remains relevant and timely.

Client Engagement & Training
  • Lead onboarding sessions and product walk-throughs for new customers to ensure strong adoption and early success.
  • Deliver live product demonstrations tailored to customer-specific use cases.
  • Serve as a product expert and advocate, driving value through ongoing education and thoughtful engagement.

Customer Insight & Feedback Loop
  • Collect and synthesize customer feedback to improve sales scripts, demo flows, and platform features.
  • Partner with product and customer success teams to relay pain points, user stories, and market needs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Sports Management, Business, or related field.
  • 2+ years in SaaS sales or customer success, bonus if experience is in the fitness, performance, wellness, or athletic markets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up habits; familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and team-player mindset who can pivot between roles and contribute across sales functions.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, able to pass a DoD background check.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 annually (base + commission)
