Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Coordinator to champion our safety culture across all operations. This role is not just about compliance—it’s about building a positive safety environment through leadership, collaboration, and hands-on support. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with employees, supervisors, and management to implement and maintain effective health and safety policies, programs, and practices that ensure the well-being of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with teams across all departments to identify, assess, and mitigate safety risks.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety protocols, policies, and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA).
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments of job sites and facilities.
  • Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Deliver engaging safety training and toolbox talks to ensure employee awareness and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, inspections, and training activities.
  • Support emergency response planning and participate in emergency drills.
  • Stay current with safety legislation, industry best practices, and trends to enhance the safety program.
  • Travel to various job sites or branch locations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in [construction/manufacturing/industrial] environments.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to influence and drive a culture of safety.
  • Certification such as OSHA 30, CHST, or CSP is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 50%.
