Employment Type: Full-Time

About Ascent Consulting

Ascent Consulting is the premier provider of business, operations, management, technology, and marketing consulting services for construction companies across North America.

Our mission is simple: We help contractors Build Better Construction Companies—for Profitability and Performance . We’re a boutique consultancy working exclusively in the construction industry, with deep roots in both commercial and residential contracting. Our team is made up of seasoned contractors, business owners, and industry experts who speak the same language as our clients—and deliver real-world results.

The Opportunity

Are you a Procore power user ready to move beyond the jobsite or office trailer? Would you enjoy helping construction companies grow by teaching them how to use Procore the right way?

We're looking for a Procore Consultant to join our team. You’ll work closely with construction companies—both new and experienced Procore users—to help them unlock the full potential of the platform. This is a hands-on, client-facing role that combines systems knowledge, operational insights, and training expertise.

What You’ll Do

For new Procore clients:

  • Conduct discovery sessions to assess current systems and workflows.
  • Design and recommend optimal configurations tailored to their operations.
  • Assist with Procore setup, permissions, and company-specific settings.
  • Provide personalized, hands-on training to staff.

For existing Procore users:

  • Diagnose current usage gaps or misconfigurations.
  • Recommend and implement improvements that increase efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot challenges and identify solutions.
  • Train teams to maximize ROI from their existing investment.

You’ll also:

  • Collaborate with third-party providers to manage software integrations (e.g., accounting systems or specialty apps).
  • Represent clients in conversations with Procore support and integration partners.
  • Create reference documents, SOPs, and training resources tailored to client needs.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be based in Atlanta, GA.
  • 3+ years of experience using Procore as a power user or administrator at a construction firm.
  • 3+ years working in a commercial GC or MEP contracting environment.
  • Strong grasp of construction accounting fundamentals (WIP reports, COs, budgets, retainage, billing, etc.).
  • Able to read and interpret project financial reports and dashboards.
  • Comfortable discussing GAAP and construction-specific financial workflows.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-directed but thrives in a team setting.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Consulting experience (internal or external).
  • Familiarity with other construction software (Sage, Viewpoint, Foundation, CMiC, QuickBooks Contractor, Acumatica, etc.).
  • Experience in both project and corporate accounting (AP/AR/GL/Payroll).
  • Hands-on experience with software training, rollout, and change management.
  • Procore Administrator Certification.
  • A knack for creative problem-solving—especially if you can show examples of how you’ve implemented practical solutions.

Why Work With Us?

At Ascent, you’ll get to:

  • Work with forward-thinking contractors and ambitious leadership teams.
  • Make a measurable difference in how companies operate and grow.
  • Be part of a collaborative, high-performance team that values integrity, insight, and initiative.
