Plant Biologist job duties:
**Working in a clean laboratory and growth chambers with plants and soil and plant pathogens, culturing fungi and bacteria using sterile techniques.
**Soil DNA extraction
**Maintaining inoculum cultures, plant inoculations, disease ratings, general plant care
**Working in a lab focusing on multiple plant disease assays
Qualifications:
Bachelors with 3 years or Masters in Biology, Plant Pathology or in a related area
Knowledge in Entomology or Nematology
Experience with plant pathology, soil processing, testing, maintaining pathogens
Experience with infectious disease assays
Growth chamber experience and able to work independently
