Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic, execution-oriented Director of Operations to lead and align Holcombe Mixers’ core operational functions, including supply chain, production, engineering, and R\&D. This role serves as a critical bridge between the company’s strategic objectives and day-to-day execution, ensuring operational systems, teams, and initiatives are working in concert to deliver results.
The Director of Operations will help shape and execute the company’s long-term operational roadmap. This includes translating strategy into department-level plans and implementing systems to monitor and drive progress. A key focus will be streamlining internal processes, scaling operations for growth, and ensuring each function—engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain—operates with discipline and alignment to executing strategic plans and objectives.
This individual will work cross-functionally to ensure engineering and R\&D efforts are strategically aligned with manufacturability, customer needs, and profitability targets. They will also oversee production operations, driving throughput, quality, and efficiency while optimizing supplier performance, cost control, and inventory strategy.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic vision and operational rigor. They are comfortable in the details of ERP systems and production scheduling but capable of stepping back to shape integrated performance plans across departments. They are a builder—of systems, processes, people, and accountability frameworks.
This role will be instrumental in building the operational foundation that supports Holcombe Mixers’ growth into new markets, higher volume, and greater product innovation.

* Competitive salary: \$125K–\$150K annually with performance-based bonus

Key Responsibilities
* Strategic leadership across all operations including supply chain, engineering, production, and R\&D
* Cross-functional alignment with Sales, Finance, and executive leadership
* Leading our production foremen and team to achieve execution and throughput KPI’s
* Working with our vendor management team to achieve cost reduction initiatives
* ERP optimization and dashboard implementation
* Working closely with our Engineering manager to achieve program alignment with market needs
* Leadership in the generation and execution of 1-year and 3-year strategic plans
Key Performance Outcomes
* Within 30 days: KPI dashboards aligned on Monday.com
* Within 60 days: Operations rhythm established across supply chain, engineering and production
* Within 90 days: Performance Objective alignment across supply chain, engineering, and production
* Within 120 days: Documented cost savings or throughput gains in at least two operational areas
Strategic Skills and Mindset
* Proven ability to design and lead operational strategies and KPI’s that drive measurable gains in productivity, cost efficiency, and throughput across supply chain, engineering and production functions
* Strong command of production efficiency metrics including billable hour absorption, overhead cost control, and lean manufacturing principles
* Demonstrated expertise in supply chain optimization through data-driven inventory management, including KPIs such as Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), inventory turnover, and strategic reorder point planning
* Skilled in maintaining a lean yet resilient inventory system that ensures just-in-time part availability for both production and aftermarket sales
* Adept at using ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) and workflow platforms like Monday.com to measure and monitor real-time performance, drive accountability, and make informed strategic decisions

This role reports directly to the CEO and is designed for a senior operations leader who can drive cross-functional execution with strategic insight. As Holcombe Mixers continues to scale its operations, expand product offerings, and enter new markets, the Director of Operations will be well-positioned to evolve into a Chief Operating Officer (COO) role. The position offers a clear path to executive leadership for a candidate who consistently delivers results, builds high-performing teams, and demonstrates a strong operational and strategic command.
