JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global's client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Freight Broker to join their team. Our client is a family-owned freight brokerage service based out of St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of goods, negotiating shipping rates, and ensuring timely delivery of shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Generation: Identify and develop new business opportunities through cold-calling, networking, and other lead generation activities.
* Client and Carrier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with both shippers and carriers to ensure reliable and cost-effective transportation solutions.
* Rate Negotiation: Negotiate shipping rates and contract terms with clients and carriers to maximize profitability.
* Shipment Coordination: Arrange and monitor the transportation of goods from origin to destination, ensuring compliance with all regulations and safety standards.
* Documentation: Ensure all necessary legal and customs documents are in order and accurately maintained.
* Tracking and Updates: Track shipments and provide regular updates to clients regarding the status of their shipments.
* Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or complications that arise during the shipping process.
* Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with market conditions, freight rates, and industry trends to identify new opportunities for growth.
* Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* 3+ years experience as a freight broker in the logistics industry.
* Proven full cycle sales experience in freight.
* Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve sales targets, excellent communication, and strong negotiation.
* Detail-orientated, competitive mindset, and customer-focused with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
