Job Description

Assistant Manager of Electrical Maintenance

The Assistant Manager of Electrical Maintenance ensures product quality, productivity goals, machine safety, and minimal downtime through effective electrical equipment maintenance oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
  • Lead, train, and oversee recruitment and hiring of electrical maintenance team members
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors on electrical projects
  • Manage day-to-day electrical maintenance of all facilities, buildings, and equipment
  • Oversee preventative maintenance program for all shop equipment and machines
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems
  • Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks with production management
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for electrical work
  • Control electrical maintenance budget, costs, and vendor relationships
  • Review and submit work orders, bids, and proposals from vendors
  • Manage electrical parts and tool inventories
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance and repair activities
  • Schedule and document all required safety, environmental, and hazardous waste inspections
  • Develop and implement comprehensive annual inspection processes
  • Update equipment records and maintenance documentation
  • Provide electrical and technical support to maintenance team members
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using problem-solving and creative thinking
  • Stay current on all operational aspects of building electrical systems

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years electrical maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years supervisory/management experience
  • Knowledge of PLCs, robots, and servo motors
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and control diagrams
  • Strong knowledge of electrical building systems in manufacturing facilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Associate's degree preferred
