Job Description

Job Title: Document Control Specialist

Location: Greater Los Angeles, CA (On-site)

Contract Term: 6+ Months (with potential extension)

Overview:

We’re hiring a Document Control Specialist to support our client in maintaining and organizing vital project documentation. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and experienced with managing and routing records in a structured environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, file, and maintain technical and administrative documents
  • Ensure documentation meets internal standards and regulatory compliance
  • Route and track documents for approval and revision
  • Support audits and documentation reviews
  • Maintain records retention schedule
  • Interface with cross-functional teams for document requests

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in Document Control or Records Management
  • Familiar with tools like SharePoint, OpenText, or similar DMS platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced or regulated environments
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in engineering, utilities, legal, or government sectors
  • Familiarity with version control and document lifecycle processes
