As a Residential Design Drafter , you will create detailed drawings and 3D models primarily for residential additions such as sunrooms . You will prepare accurate construction and site plans to support permit applications, HOA submittals, and customer presentations. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and quality of our installations.
This is a full-time, in-office position . Applicants must be fluent in English and able to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, coworkers, and permitting agencies.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduce redline markups, plan revisions, and detailed site plans
Draft working drawings and technical details for custom sunrooms and other residential additions
Complete full permit application packages, including drawings and required documentation
Prepare HOA submission drawings and respond to revision requests
Create and update 3D models of structures using SoftPlan for design development and customer review
Ensure drawings meet local building codes, engineering standards, and company protocols
Maintain accurate construction documents and update project files as needed
Communicate with project managers, permitting departments, and team members
Support four project managers by managing multiple drafting tasks and deadlines
Apply all company drafting standards and quality control practices consistently
Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction drafting
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SoftPlan (3D experience required)
Strong knowledge of residential additions , building codes, and permitting processes
Experience applying for building permits and preparing HOA submission drawings
Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in drafting
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in collaboration with four project managers
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience working directly with customers and construction teams is a plus
