Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dealer Trade Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will drive vehicles between dealerships, execute dealer trades, and ensure that all vehicles are transported safely and efficiently. The Dealer Trade Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of inventory within our dealership network and providing excellent service to our colleagues and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive and transport vehicles between dealerships as directed.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and guidelines to ensure the safe and timely delivery of vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or issues that arise during driving.
- Communicate effectively with management and other team members regarding vehicle statuses and any challenges encountered during trade routes.
- Assist with vehicle preparation and cleaning when necessary, ensuring that all vehicles are presentable for display or sale.
- Provide exceptional customer service to dealership staff and clients during pick-up and drop-off of vehicles.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to vehicle handling, trade processes, and safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record and the ability to operate a variety of vehicle types, including cars, SUVs, and light trucks.
- Previous experience as a driver or in the automotive industry is an asset, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
- Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Comfortable driving for long periods and covering significant distances.
