Construction Superintendent – Ground-Up Commercial

Are you a seasoned Construction Superintendent with a passion for safety and a strong background in ground-up commercial projects? A leading General Contractor in Dallas is looking to add an experienced Superintendent to their growing team.

The Role:

As a Construction Superintendent, you will lead on-site construction activities from start to finish, ensuring each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily field operations on ground-up commercial construction sites
• Manage all subcontractors, labor, and materials to ensure smooth project execution
• Enforce and maintain strict adherence to OSHA standards and site-specific safety protocols
• Develop and maintain the construction schedule, coordinating closely with the Project Manager
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety meetings
• Interpret and implement construction drawings, plans, and specifications
• Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams
• Track project progress, site logs, RFIs, and change orders
• Ensure all work complies with building codes, regulations, and quality standards
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for troubleshooting and resolving field issues
• Mentor and support field staff to maintain a motivated and efficient team

What They’re Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years of Superintendent experience on ground-up commercial projects
• Strong project history with K-12 schools and bank/financial institutions
• Excellent working knowledge of OSHA regulations and a proactive approach to jobsite safety
• Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills
• Experience working in the Dallas market and managing local trades
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
