Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AV Support Specialist to join our client's team in Washington, D.C. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless and effective operation of all audio-visual and conference room systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in AV technologies, a proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues, and excellent communication skills. This position requires a professional who can manage projects, work with vendors, and apply ITIL principles to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise for the implementation, maintenance, and support of audio-visual and conference room technologies.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Microsoft Surface HUB, Polycom, and other AV equipment.

  • Support and manage collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Teams and Zoom, to ensure a high-quality user experience.

  • Manage AV-related projects from conception to completion, including planning, execution, and post-implementation support.

  • Act as a key point of contact for vendor management, ensuring smooth coordination and delivery of services.

  • Maintain documentation and adhere to ITIL principles for incident, problem, and change management.

  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors, providing clear and concise updates on all projects and support issues.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated technical experience in the audio-visual field.

  • Relevant engineering certifications with a focus on audio-visual and conference room equipment (e.g., Microsoft Surface HUB, Polycom).

  • Current CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) Certification is required.

  • Experience with implementing and supporting AV solutions for corporate conference rooms and situation rooms.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting collaboration technologies like Teams and Zoom.

  • Proven project management and vendor management skills.

  • Familiarity with ITIL principles and experience with a service management platform like Service-Now.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
